No spark to either cylinder

Post by twd46 »

Hello,

I went for a ride a few weeks ago and my 91 907 performed very well. The next day, I went out to start the bike and it wouldn't start. It hasn't started since. I eventually killed the starter trying to start it and have installed a new starter. But I am still not getting spark on either cylinder. The fuel pump cuts on as it should, and bike turns over well. Ive checked ecu connections and they look good. I am thinking crank position sensor or more likely, wiring. Its odd that it ran great one day, but wouldn't start the next. Any help would be most appreciated. I miss riding it.

Have a good look at the kill switch and wires . Not sure about the 907 but the 906 kill switch cuts the power to the ecu . Probly the quickest way would be just to check you have power to the ecu. If you dont, try bridging out the kill switch where it joins the main harness.
I wish I was young again............Id be heaps smarter than last time
