Diving into my project and found that the sprocket bolts have backed out and buggered the swing arm. Might be salvageable, but if I can find a spare Sport Swingarm, I am interested.
This bike has a steel SS swingarm that has been modified to fit the stock fat swingarm pivot pin. My other Sport has an aluminum swingarm from a 900 SS and the cases have been modified to accept the newer style swingarm pivot pin and 4 sets of roller bearings. Both modifications are not terribly graceful, or easy, but they work. If someone has suggestion for another method, or another swing arm, I would love to hear it.
This the Achilles heel of the Sport.
Cheers, Phil
