907 headlight

Post by supak9 »

hello all, looking for a headlight for a 907 - it needs to dip the correct way for riding on the left side of the road. ie. UK, Australia, New Zealand, Japan.......

Are the headlights the same on all Paso models - 750, 906, 907?

Is it the FZ750 yamahas that have the same headlight?

Also looking for good coil replacements - either top condition original or aftermarket.

thanks, Rob.

There are at the moment quit a lot of headlights for sale on Ebay.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid= ... &_from=R40

The FZ750 dual headlight has a flat projectory for both lamps, so no sweeping upwards to the roadside. . . . However a city light is not implemented, can be solved by drilling a hole to fit the lamp and holder.

For ignition Dynacoils could be used, also new and used available. See topics on Cycleworks California on google
If you realy look you will see that the whole world is Ducati Red. . .

Rob, I recently saw a guy who was selling a new pair for 80 Euros.
If you get aftermarket coils be sure they have the correct resistance. See 907ie FAQs.

None of the headlights in the link above dip in the right direction. Better check www.ebay.co.uk .

Thanks for the info on the lights, I managed to find one that is coming out from Japan at the moment - so thats all good. Yeah, most/all of those on ebay (usa) are no good for me.

I had already got the coil info from the faq, but thanks for the reminder.
This leads me to a question for a non electrical type tho, how do I read the resistance to confirm that my ones are bad?
I have a multi meter and got a bit of an idea how it works but what plugs in where to get the readings??

Thanks, Rob.

ps. Good to see the site back up and running, thanks to those who spent the time sorting it out - can anyone tell us what exactly happened?

No didn't get the email, but havn't checked my spam either so it may be in there. No worries, just curious and happy to hear all has worked out. Don't come on here too much but it's always helpful when I do.

Thanks for the diagram - makes perfect sense now!

Cheers, Rob.
