Ducati 900ss/907ie/ front fender holder

Post by ducido »

Hi all
I'm new in the forum und currently changing my 750 Sport from
16'' to 17'' wheels. Currently I'm looking for a good possibilty for
mounting the front fender. The 900SS(1990) and 907ie had the
same or similar fork (M1BB, M1R). The front fender holder of this
modells have Ducati part number 82910121A.
(I'm loacted in Berlin Germany)

Best Regards
Jörg

@900streetfighter: If you find it I would prefer an original one.

@englishstiv: The replica looks really good. That would be
a good way if I don't an original one.

Just for clarification, the front fender is different, as well as the mounting bracket. You can also look for 1989 851 front fender. I can confirm that simply swapping the fender and brace works fine for a 17" front wheel.

I have a spare 851 front fender, and a not so good brace, but I'm in California.

(ducinthebay) Phil I think he is changing the standard forks to a 907ie M1R style so the 851 fender which I believe is side mounted (?) may not be suitable?

The first years of the 851 had M1R forks, before going to the upside down forks. The 851 fender is really big, a lot bigger than the 907. A heck of a beak.

The 851 has the same arched brace as the 907. The 750,906, and Sport had the flat fork brace/fender mount. My point was that the brace and the fender need to be paired. A 907 brace will not fit the Sport fender.

I know to my expense I didn't appreciate the narrower width of the 750 or 906 with the 907 front fender. Thats why I ended up getting my pattern stainless bracket made up. Rather than try and use a 2nd hand part.
