Okay Folks I am going to keep this going for two months ( till the end of August 2015).

If there is enough interest I am going to see if it is viable to purchase new re manufactured European Tail light lenses the one with the indicator amber pods on left and right.

Lens only not a full light at this stage.

If you are interested please just put your name on this thread.

I will update this thread when I start to get an idea of prices etc.

This will take a fair while to sort if viable so please appreciate timescales it may not be in your hands before Christmas/ New Year 2015 and then after you will have paid fully upfront for postage and total cost.

Any profits if any ---- and I am not doing it for that if you order before anything is made. Then I will transfer funds to this sites moderators for site upkeep etc.

Over to you now folks. I am not fussed if there is no interest, just putting it out there.

For those interested this is the sort of manufacturer that I am at present in contact with.

Good luck, but don't expect much participation from members. Earlier this year I under the post Paso Specialist tried to enlist help by reproducing front signal lenses. Ultimately the cost of having a mold for a plastic injection machine at $4000 per side ended it for me because less than five people replied to buy one. I'm sure you will get much better pricing with the Chinese as I used local estimates. I'm still looking for a perfect right lens to use for making a silocone mold to reproduce by hand a few. If you check online there are some who can even do bi color lenses with hand molds.
Anyway, I'm interested in your project. And will buy more than one if you succeed in this.

Well there has been over 70 views of this post so if there are maybe 50 interested of which 30 might wish to proceed. and 20 actually pay??? I think the average cost of second hand USA complete light is around the $100 mark nowadays so actually it isn't likely to seem that expensive.

More importantly it asks the question.

I know the score on here for generating interest been there and done it, read the book and have the T-Shirt and hold the movie rights. :P

I would be interested in the rear tail light lens if the cost was within reason.

+ 1 for me too.

though think more realistically we might be talking hand silicon molds.

Please add me to your list of interested owners.
My US lens is cracked and my turn signal stocks are cracked, so the Euro brake light set up would be something I'd be very interested in.
Even restoring my US set up would be OK for me too.
Thanks,
Craig

No... but i am talking to a mob that do small runs... it wouldn't be cheap and might be more than the lucky ebay find second hand. I'm trying to do a replacement headlight lens in poly too...
