headlight ducati 750--900 sport.

Post by 900SS90 »

I need a headlight for my 900 European, I have the one of my English motorcycle, not valid to drive in Europe.
If you are in England and have the same problem, I can make a change.
If you have a European one, for sale, on your shelf, I can also buy it.

Gday mate, if the English light is the same as Australian I could do a swap as I only have the European unit, if that would help, cheers

Just in case you do not succeed: a new one (CEV 287 288).

Please do check the CEV numbers on your headlight, to be sure it's the correct one.

Frank, that headlight for the later 900SS does not fit the 89/90 900SS which used the same one as the 750Sport and F1.

If someone has a clear picture of the headlight with brand (CEV, Carrello etc.) and numbers or even the dimensions I can try to find out whether it was also used for other vehicles (Fiat?).
Production numbers were so low in the mid eighties, chanses are it was not a "Cagiva special".
If I could get the dimensions also it would be helpfull.

Just let me know if you want me to look for a source .....

I hardly know the 900ss but I've done this exercise a few times for my Bimota and some Cagivas a few years ago.
First items I search for/buy when I have a restoration project are all items related to lights and rubber parts.

Then I will go to my garage, I will try to photograph the two lighthouses.
I've tried it before, but the numbers are not clearly seen by the reflection of the crystal.
I'll try again.

So that I understand it correctly: do you need a CEV 304 or a CEV 364?
The CEV 304 I see new ones on ebay, no 364 though ....
