One time you bought it, you were a dealer?

Well, I was in the ballpark, as they say.

In have also bought back a bike I've previously owned. I think one should beware of high expectations ... but I hope it works out well. All the best.

OK heres the condensed version. First bought from Yuppie who bought as status symbol, stored in parking garage two years then brought to dealership where i worked, wanted to put on consingment after restoring to former beauty. Sold to collector in '94,at GREAT profit. Close friend Jhiestand, stationed in Japan said would like 907 to go along with his all carbon fiber 998. Called collector who had put 600 miles on in 11 years, agreed to sell.Jeff sent me funds, bought for him and kept here for over a year, replaced fork tubes
[which was my original reason for selling] cam belts, tires, full tuneup. Of course had to give many test rides, which reinforced that i had made bad decision to sell originally.Delivered to Jeff in June with just over 3000 miles.
Circumstances dictated his need to thin out his sweet collection. Both Ducs had to go. Bought third time.
By the way,not my first Duc, but for this period in my life, best.

Good reading! Especially to find there's someone older than me on here ...

And I withdraw that caution about 'high expectations' - you obviously know very well what you are doing.
