NO PRECISE DATE (MOST LIKELY AFTER JULY BUT BEFORE OCTOBER)OR CONFIRMED VENUE SET AT THIS STAGE = JUST WANT TO GET AN IDEA OF INTEREST AND POSSIBLE NUMBERS, HOWEVER THE BELOW VENUE IS A SOLID IDEA.

Okay so I know I have got previous for this but who knows maybe finally we might get this off the ground this year.

PLEASE NOTE I WILL BE UPDATING THIS 1st THREAD OF THIS POSTING WITH INFO AND SUGGESTIONS UP UNTIL THE POINT I START ORGANIZING ANYTHING WHERE UPON I SHALL START A NEW POST. SO JUST PLEASE ADD YOUR NAME IF INTERESTED. PLEASE USE GOOGLE MAPS (Directions) AND THIS POST CODE - LD3 0EP - AS A SUGGESTED DESTINATION AND YOUR OWN AND JUST SHOW THE APPROX MILEAGE AS AN IDEA PLEASE. It will help in sorting time frames at this early stage.

FOR EXAMPLE = Englishstiv Yes, Interested 141 miles.

ALSO RATHER THAN END UP WITH AN EXTENDED THREAD OF IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS PLEASE JUST PM ME YOUR THOUGHTS AND I WILL ADD THEM TO THIS 1st POST AT THIS STAGE.... I THANK YOU.

Also please note that you can click on or off the "Subscribe Topic" link on the top left which means you will see any additional posted updates via your email link. (not my edits though).

Rather than ask and based on the above last two threads I propose a weekend later in the year maybe August - September time.

Mid East Wales somewhere off the M5 Corridor.
Example - http://www.independenthostelguide.co.uk ... &area=1264

Motorcycle Friendly Camping and a/or Hotel facilities over a Saturday to Sunday ( Friday optional )

Nice pre paid slap up meal Saturday evening with a couple of Jars (remember we are riding in the morning !!!!) at about 8pm after an mid day gathering, spares, swaps meet and long ride out say 2.00 pm onwards Central Wales and general bike chat and viewing. Some fun presentations in the evening. Sunday breakfast short ride start 9.30 - 10am start through Central Wales with an early lunchtime stop off and then home.

Example Saturday ride using A470 loop with B4558 or B4520 etc - about a 70 mile ride?

European friends welcome please add your names We have kindly received an offer from a fellow member who lives in the South East of England whom will be able to assist any folk coming through the Southern Docks otherwise I will assist in any way to get your UK leg of the journey completed with the least amount of Aggro !!!

Partners and enthusiast friends welcome.

Looking for at least 12 plus Forum bikes in attendance either ridden, in a van or on a trailer ( any of the 4 or just a part of your bike ?? ) to make it worthwhile ?????

No PM for me Stiv :!:
Once you have come up with an idea of possible locations I'll think about it. Most of England is a helluva long way for me :( I'm about 50 miles south of Aberdeen.
I know Black 907. He's about 150 miles south of me near Dumfries.

No PM for me Stiv :!:
Sorry Derek just checked and you and 1 other didn't get my stick it and post message - it just said to Check this thread which you've actually done.

I have set that post code as suggested rough location based on it being a fairly central route to get their quickly and exit for the journey home for the majority interested last time and also the possibility of some fairly pleasant roads to ride once there.

As I have explained to Lumbux who has a similar issues re journey age of bike and time/distance from his home in the opposite direction it is a proposal and if people want to change then that is what we shall do to make it easier for all.

I would certainly think twice about a 1000mile plus ride for two days meeting and greeting with total strangers

The other way to look at it is, that if this is a success then I would like to try a more Northerly area for 2015 which may suit you better and the South East for 2016....but then that is a long way into the future ??

Hi Stiv

I'm Derek's pal from Galloway. I'd certainly be interested in a paso event but like my Northern chum it all depends on location & timing. We're all busy people after all.
Personally I don't like camping. Just so you know. May is busy as is September.
On the up side in the last 2 years I have ridden my 907 to Essex, Scarborough & Mid-Wales so distance isn't toooo significant but I really forced myself to go to Essex.

Robbie :-)

as before Stiv, will follow developments. Just bear in mind it does take one person to take the reins here and it can be a thankless task I understand but once you have thrashed out a date and a venue I can't see why this can't actually happen this time. I have set up car meetings single-handedly myself over the years so if you think I can help in anyway then please P.M.
Regards
Chris

Many thanks I am happy to take the reins so to speak, sort out the venue, maps and general meeting arrangements. As a former voluntary sports Coach I am used arranging things !!! But I won't be paying any ones lodgings, meal tickets or bar tabs although I am happy to buy the odd drink or two or even a round !!!

It will be all about the numbers as before and also the Date and Venue location in relation to those attending. The one I have suggested looks worth a visit on cost and location with amenities locally. I have never been there or have any association with it.

I know I won't please everyone and I know that some will struggle with the travelling distance but hopefully those that make it will enjoy and find the time well spent.

What is your travel distance from this venue?

907ie toolkit owner
desmodave

You know actually I'm not that worried if any do turn up although I think the average age of the "stars" there may prevent too much passion.......oh shit now I've started a whole new debate....not on this thread though please :banghead:

Having had a quick scan of the thread I couldn't see a date - has one been suggested?

I might well try to make it if I can get away -

IanEll - 80miles.

My bike's been off the road for about 8 years so it's a hell of a challenge - I have to sell a 996, an ST4, and ST4S and a Cali then I can get it back out and work on it.

Keep me informed...
