I decided to revisit this thread to update. We are now up to eight bikes (adding the '01 M900ie and another '98 ST2 - or nine if you add the MegaPaso porject) and my Honda Civic has slowly crept up to 238k miles. We've also added a 1990 Chevy K-2500 4x4 truck with extended cab.

Under the blue cover is the 1955 Maicoletta http://maicoletta.mayoreric.com/.

I may be a glutton for punishment, but a neighbor tells me that I might be able to pick up a couple of BSA twins available locally. . .

I have been so busy just recently that I have just thrown everything into my Garage until last week when I realised just how bad it was - looks like I am gonna have to start clearing things up a little. I'll leave you to guess whats under this lot? ( there are 3 bikes and those engines on the left and right are spares.)

Well it's a big clear out tomorrow, that engine is gonna be going off to special mechanic with the one in the bike to be made into one decent engine ready for my trip to Greece (corfu) in July this year. If you look real hard you can just see the front wheel of a Honda CB500 hardtail I am building (the spare engine for that is on the left) and the bike in the middle is a mid 70's CZ175 - like my first ever road legal motorbike again another rebuild for mr to sort out.

Antti we don't have rats around here just lots of Field Mice

It amazes me how many similarities there are with motorcycle riders. I rides include
1977 BMW 100/7 daily driver
1977 BMW 75/7 cafe bike
1983 Yamaha 750 Seca
1984 KL 600 Kawasaki
1990 Ducati 750 Sport
2000 Ford Ranger (mine)
2003 Toyota 4Runner (wife's)
I also could not help but notice the windsurfers. I also have spent much time windsurfing.
For lighter wind I have a 5.2 Nacra Catamaran.

I love those old Maico offroaders. A neighbour had a GM500. He a hard time keeping the front wheel on the street. :)

Yes, it's a sad state of affairs. No Maico. The name comes from my favorite dirt bike of all time. A Maico 440. Love that Husky by the way.

Have you seen that Maico's of that era are bringing very high prices? Most times more than an equally cared for Paso :,(
Probably because it is even more rare for an old dirtbike to be well cared for. Most ended up driven into the ground then junked. Finding a nice survivor is almost impossible. Vintage off road racing, and collecting, sure has become very popular.

Nice Husky! What year is it? 1984? I had a 1983 WR430. I'll have to find a picture of it. I really liked that bike. For a two-stroke engine, it had a LOT of low-end torque. Last year, I sold my 1992 Husky WXC-360.
