Wow, I've been away for a long time after all ...

Post by fasterdammit »

First I need to hang my head in shame a bit because wow, where the hell have I been? dp.org has a whole new look & feel, my old bookmarks don't work ... I like it. Looks like I have a lot of catching up to do (hacked?!).

Me, I've been slightly out of my mind with everything. Work has been just insane until recently, the kids are getting big (Sydney's four now; Griffon is 10mo) ... this that & the other thing. I didn't even do a whole lot of riding outside of to work & back (and the inevitable detour that includes). Just madness. Anyway, I've decided this is the year of the Paso for me; the Monster can take a little break this year. Before the season hits I've got a pair of Mikunis to install, valves to check & the usual rigamarole of maintenance, and I managed to score a pair of NOS "Silentiums" from flea-bay ... so I'm considering attempting to core my stock ones in order to open them up a little bit. (I approach that topic with apprehension)

Anyway, this is partly my apology for being absent so long and a 'hey, I'm back, what'd I miss?'

So how the hell is everybody? Anybody got some cliff's notes for me?

Jake

welcome back. yes we got hacked. it was ugly, but I was able to rescue the data.
phpbb3 is a lovely improvement, and each module is standalone now to help aid in keeping things secure, but at the cost of 'integration'

c'est la vie i guess.
