Yeah, I'm thinking 'Idle Noise' is the way to go, too; with "News and talk of the sport, industry and community" as the descriptive text?

I didn't mean anything bad by "exhaust notes" ... but it could be sort of off-color, huh? HAHAHA :D

yep, mike. I think we could go with 'Aiming for the Apex' as the Forum name, because it suggests something of the excitement most riders surely feel when they ride.

For the description of the Forum, i would suggest 'Words, your own or some you have read, prose or poetry, expressing for you the essence of motorcycling'

I don't think we need a sticky - the idea of the Forum is clear enough, i'd say, and each piece will most likely come with its own title. if we don't get anything in a day or two, i'll post that piece by T E Lawrence, and start keeping my eyes peeled for other stuff. I don't think we'll get a lot of posts, but it would be great if a few members wrote something, or posted things that moved them.

Some posts could be quite long, eh mike. I think the piece by T E Lawrence is over a thousand words. is that OK?

It should be coming up this week, Jake.

'Idle Rattle' sure has worked, eh? I don't expect that sort of response with my forum. I mean there can't be that many writers or poets or readers of 'creative' or 'expressive' motorcycle writing out there. But it sure is going to be interesting to find out!

Hey, you never know. It might not get a lot of written entries, but I'll bet the written entries still get a lot of traffic and hopefully start some discussion ... maybe catalyze some of the readers to write, as well ...

I've locked this topic, as it's rather old. Site suggestions will now go into the announcements area.
