male rod end bearings w/ M8 and 10mm bore?

Post by paso750 »

usually bore size and thread are the same but they also exist in versions with smaller bore and larger thread.
So male rod end bearings with 8mm bore and M10 thread exist but the opposite is what I`d need.
Do these exist? I couldn`t find any.

Gerhard,

Not to my knowledge ... :(
Not possible to have a workshop bore/mill the joint (tricky) ?
Have no idea whether the forces/load are high ....

thanks Steve & Gert but all I find there are rod end bearings that have the same thread diameter & bore.
Really seems 10mm bore with M8 thread does not exist. I`ll check shops that sell kart sport parts now.

maybe you could just reduce the thread size of a 10mm with an insert ?

or fill it and tap it ?

maybe the simplest way to go, fill and tap not sure you can find a helicoil or timesert to suit
