So people you're about to pass can see that it's a Ducati in their rearview mirror? :laugh:DesmoDog wrote:I can understand why everything would be upside down on the other side of the world, but why backwards?Skins wrote:

Ok, here's the best photo I could find of me; well, the funniest one anyways. This is the result of running 4th in a StuperTwins race at Loudon, NH, and wanting to be on the podium! Trying to make up time at corner entry equals front end tuck, at 70mph...
Actually, this pic was taken 2 years, 20 x-rays, 2 MRI's, a bone growth electronic stimulator, an episode of shock from an allergic reaction to Morphine, Percocet, Darvocet, 15 bottles of Vicodin, and about 40 Dr's visits later... Something about breaking my collarbone in 4 places, non-union, a Titanium plate and 5 screws, yadda, yadda, yadda.
Oh, and just as I was going under the knife, the top of my septic tank caved in back at home... Does that qualify as "worst day of my life"? I think it does!
On the plus side, I've got this really cool card that tells Airport Security that I've got a plate on my collarbone, so they know why I keep setting their metal detectors off...
(EDIT: repairing broken photo links. Stupid Frappr site!)

Thanks for the compliments, guys! I really do appreciate it. It will take some digging, but I've got a great photo that sums up the end of my first day of racing; similar outcome, only my left ankle instead... Now where did I put that....

Here it is! My first day of class, "Intro to Racing 101"
The best part of that day was driving a standard transmission truck 300 miles home, with a broken left ankle. After the first 100 miles, I ripped the wires out of the clutch switch so I could just shut the engine off in first, and use the starter to begin moving again!
Hard to believe that was 10 years ago....
Even harder to believe by the smile on my face is that I somehow considered this weekend a "success" But delusion is a big part of the ability to continue racing for 10 years!
What's that expression, something like "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, each time expecting a different result."
