Guitar Shop! That's an awesome album. Terry Bozzio is a monster, too - he and Jeff Beck together is a phenominal match up. That's definitely some recommended listening!

And Partagas, too ... mmm

Hey, faster

Do I detect that you may be a DeNiro fan also? Maybe Skins, yourself and I should get together for a little online cigar puffing. :lick:

Nice idea, B, but I gave up smoking a few years back. But boy, those Partagas were good. I used to buy at least one box of 20, I think it was, every month. This was 25 years ago, in Spain. I don't think they cost more than about US$10 a box in Barcelona. But on one trip to London, I saw a box in a Piccadilli tobacconist for about US$50.

I thought you guys don't trade with Cuba? How do you get them? Something to do with Jon Slocum's scull and crossbones? Or maybe they make them in South America now.

Hi, Skins

The U.S. has a trade embargo with Cuba, us Canadians still trade with them. It's actually cheaper for me to fly to Cuba for a week all inclusive and buy my cigars there. They are a minimum 1/4 the price of buying them here. Cubita coffee and Havana Club rum :lick: aren't bad either.

A little bit, a little bit ...
Well, Heat not only because of the movie itself - but it's DeNiro and Pacino's first time on screen together, and opposite each other. Pacino's detective is a tad over the top (Pacino? Over the top?) but man ... DeNiro just rules that movie, and the end scene at the airport? Well, they couldn't have picked two better people to play either role opposite each other, IMO.

And Ronin - what a great cast. DeNiro's character is great in there, too. I love his last line as he's talking the vet through stitching up his bullet wound - "if you don't mind, I'm just going to pass out now." clunk. :D

The only movies I can't watch him in are comedies. I couldn't take the "analyze this/that" movies and since I hate Ben Stiller I couldn't watch either of the something about mary/meet the fokkers movies anyway. But DeNiro & comedy? He was good on Saturday Night Live that time, but otherwise ... stick to grimacing and shooting people. ;)

I know what you mean about the comedies. His method acting in dramas is top-notch, though. I once read that he paid $20,000 to have his teeth mangled for his role in Cape Fear and another $20,000 to have them restored after. No thanks :screwy: .

Hey KillerB, I thought I was the only person in the world to appreciate Keith Richards Solo work!!! HE is pretty diverse in this stuff & I reckon he sounds like he is having a lot of fun with it.

I must agree on the De Niro thing Makes a mighty fine mobster so it is hard to take him as a funny man.
