I want, that, to this topic answer peopple from AROUND world, that we can see, WHERE fuel coasts are highest!!! So, BE HONEST now!!!!

I want to ask this, because those USA peopple are crying, that they have high fuel prices there. Surely this fuel price must be in some way connected to "life level" and earning money from employer..... But i think, that its quite common in whole EU area at least....

I wonder, if someone can beat "me"

Here in Finland 95 octane unleaded fuel coast now about 1,60€ / litre

It would be nice, if other prices are also changed to €, that compare is then much easier and only one person have to make that change from local currency to €....

The price should be compared to the average level of wages and the average number of km/miles per inhabitantant each country.
I'm not sure about the kilometers, I suppose about 8000 each year, and the wage is less than 1000€/month for a santdard worker.
If we suppose about 12 kms per liter, this means about one month of wage "burnst" in our engines (including child and granpa's)
:&:
Maibe we'd better drink such an amount! :drunk: :drunk: :drunk:

It's not the actual price exactly, but more of a price comparison to what we are used to and have budgeted for. Just ten years ago I was paying $0.75/gallon. A few weeks ago I was paying $4.05/gallon. That is a 540% increase in price in ten years. In the last ten years, has your gasoline increased 540%?

Also put it another way......I used to only pay around $300 per month for gasoline a couple of years ago. With the same amount of driving, last month I paid over $900 in gas. That's a 300% increase in my monthly gasoline costs in two year. My income has only gone up 5% in the last two years. Interestingly, I'm paying more in gas every month than I am paying for my house.....the monthly mortage on my house is only $540/month.

Well here in Australia the price varies a lot from city to country areas & the further into the bush you go the dearer it gets.

Currently in Sydney the average price is:
ULP $1.47 (0.85 euro) Diesel $1.67 (0.97 euro) LPG $0.65 (0.38 euro)
Taree which is 5 hours from Sydney & where I am ( & where Troy Bayliss comes from)
ULP $1.54 (0.89 euro) Diesel $1.83 (1.06 euro) LPG $0.69 (0.40 euro)

ULP is standard (about 92 octane) for Premium (98 Octane) add approx 6 cents (3.5 euro) per litre. As you head into the outback you can expect to pay well in-excess of $2.00 a litre for petrol & up to $2.40 for diesel with LPG non existant.

Compared to what you are paying in europe sounds like I should not be complaining to loudly either because your 1.60 euro works out at $2.75 per litre! ouch!!!

Here in NY I paid 3.83 a gallon for "regular", the lowest grade. This = 2.60 Euro for a gallon which I think works out to about 0.61 Euro per liter.

I like the way the oil companies suckered people into traveling over the Labor Day weekend holiday with lower gas prices, only to stick it to them with a 15% increase in prices in 2 days so they had to pay the elevated prices to get back home!
