LaDucati Day Sunday Oct. 11

Post by ducinthebay »

Yes folks, its that time again.
La Ducati day at La Honda, just south of San Francisco.
A full day of frivolity, loud bikes, and a bunch of other activities.
If you get up early enough, join us at Alice's Resturant for breakfast at 9:00

Cheers,
Phil

Well, a lovely time was had by all. There were 3 1990 Sports there. Mine, Honorato's, and someone else who I didn't get to meet. No Pasos though. Some cool old Pantahs, and a few singles. Oh, and about a thousand other Ducatis and a bunch of everything else. Overall a good time and good weather,if not a bit cool.

End of the day was spoiled by some idiot on a brand new 1198 riding way over head and crossed the double yellow and took out a beautiful old Norton. Head on collision. Both riders were airlifted to the hospital. Apparently the new rider was trying to keep up with some of his friends who were much faster than himself. He had the bike, but had no gear, and no skill. remember to always ride at your level, and not the level of the group you happen to be riding with. There's always some faster than you.

Ride safe.

Unfortunately, sometimes we do some senseless things.
We always have to keep in mind riding with the brain.
