It was fun, Red. There's a bit of the road you can't see near the top, to the right, and the section hidden in the valley is quite a long piece. Also, you really don't see how narrow the road is. Barely room for two cars to pass.

During the last few years I've been down the road many times, and tried to figure out how I got past at least two other bikes on the last couple of corners without a motor, and I'm damned if I can figure it out. I think there was a fair bit of luck involved, but that would not have been enough. I think I must have dropped back almost 50 yards as we got near the bottom, to give me room to build speed. The fact that they had no idea all the way down what I was up to was a big advantage.
