Poetry of the Paso

Post by gail »

Hark Ducati Angels sing,
the dawning morn, brings a brand new Spring.
Out of the shed the Paso comes,
thoughts cross by of long day runs.

She fires up, so sweet the noise,
the Staintunes bark, all grace and poise.
Out, and on the road to play,
up a gear I'm on my way.

The subtle bark becomes a roar,
as the tacho touches eight grand four.
The roar becomes a howl I fear,
and threatens all that I hold dear.

Back a cog and touch the brake,
all these corners I'll forsake.
As time and distance is a blur,
it's a passion held by few for sure.

The sun lights up rainforest bends,
up the mountain pass acsends.
The bike and I are one you see,
a Paso's fine you must agree.

Cross the mountains great divide,
darting down the other side.
Swing around another bend ,
a fun old time I must attend.

Then down along the oceans shore,
a glory road I've been before.
The Sun ,The Road, The Bike, are joy,
astride my red fast shiny toy.

The tin tops gaze in disbelief,
New age design an Artists brief.
Italians great we all must hail,
Bordi, Farn'e, did not fail.

I stop and park awhile and rest,
knowing that I've rode my best.
The locals gather round my steed,
to appreciate the craftsmans creed.

The flair and fashion of the times,
can't compare to Paso's lines.
The motors song and dance inspires,
squeals from over tortured tyres.

As we all know, they are the best ,
these Paso's that we put to test.
Our Heritage from Pasolini,
with Dedications,Tamburini.

BRAVO!

I'll enjoy reading that again and again, and I'm sure I won't be the only one.

Thanks Skins,
Appreciate the kind words, I'm sure motorcycles and riding can be all things for all people and obviously our Ducati bias shines through, even more so for the Paso culture.
I'm sure with the positive critique gladly received, I will churn out a few more yet.
From the Land Of the Short Grey Cloud to The Land Of the Long White Cloud a firm Paso Cheerio.

Well done Marty, and not a bum rhyme in any verse. I presume you didn't come up with that while riding your bike...needing to focus on the apexes etc. as we do.
Make it a good day,
