Re: picture thread - I have no words ...
It's a 350cc engine with Roots compressor.
It is a prototype to arrange a more powerful small engine in order to face italian laws of 80's about drivers licences

G it´s a dell´orto
Just googled it today by accident. The machine is modified by this small(?) finnish company http://jlmeccanica.blogspot.com/
they´re building a thing called 996 Compressore, I´m definately going to stay tuned. Quite an interesting project indeed. Most of the info is in Finnish, but there´s sometimes a small english summary.

Re: picture thread - I have no words ...
As a matter of fact, one of the best problem with such a job is tuning the engine... ignition, timing, carburation, inlet and outlet mainfold diameters, compressor pressure and so on. Moreover the larger amount of air and fuel in the engine will cause a critical raise of temperatures of pistons, heads and valves
have a nice ride, Nicola

Re: picture thread - I have no words ...
Yeah heat control is an issue but less so with a supercharger than with a turbo. The fact that a motor is air cooled will add to the problems because increased airflow is not an option. (Though I do see the engine here is water jacketed) Direct water injection might be one way forward.

I guess this belongs to someone who was rolling on his last set of precious Michelins Why else would one need this feature ? Or maybe there`s a lube dispenser on the other side
