Sorry Antti, no fight here, just G reminding me I am older than dirt
Nah, I didn`t say that. Your comment just made me thinking that back in those days I was probably still running around the christmas tree with a trumpet :)
Makes me feel young again, thanks.

my first, too. 12 years later, she sits in the house, waiting for the day I decide to put her magnificence back on the road. i've been considering an early M750 as a daily rider.

My first bike - bought for the sole purpose of passing my test - was a Kawasaki KMX 125cc. Brilliant at what it did but . . .

However . . .

My girlfriend at the time bought for me, as a present for passing my bike test(!!!!), a brand new 750 Paso! On the same morning - from the same dealer - she also bought me an 850 Commando, and a Laverda 1000. She - still to this day - has never been on the back of a bike. The dealer, still a mate of mine - unsuprisingly, was well pleased. Beat that boast I dare you.

So as far as I'm concerned my first bike, not just my first Duke, was a Paso.

I loved that bike as I have said elsewhere. She started, stopped, gave great fuel consumption and I never had a moments trouble with her, and she stopped girls in their tracks wherever I went.

Is it any wonder then that, despite owning some seriously beautiful and seriously quick bikes that, having decided to return to two wheels after 20-odd years - it HAS to be a Duke?

My mates all think that I'm called Rhino because I have a fast and nasty temper . . .

but

fortunately also a very, very, thick skin.

My girlfriends all say I'm called Rhino coz I've always got the horn!!
