The Dipper, Mount Panorama Circuit, Bathurst Australia. this race track is actually a public road most of the year. They used to race bikes here not too long ago.

After watching the annual race on TV for many years, Red, those bends seem quite unfamiliar to me. I guess it taken from an angle the TV cameras don't use, eh? It looks a hell of a lot tighter than any sections I remember from TV.

this shot is the angle that you would be familiar with on the TV coverage.

It is heading back down the mountian off Skyline. It is very tight but they are still travelling close to 100km/hr, it leads to forrest elbow & then onto Conrod Straight

Heres a map of the track

OK! Nice still of that Holden ...

So, in the 'corner' pics, is the race direction away from us or towards us? I'm guessing it's away from us.

Yes Skins, they would be travelling away from us in the 2 top shots & heading downhill. In the top shot the Dodo Commodore would be just past the patch of rubber mrkings on the right where the word "Bitter" starts.

Interesting though when it is a public road it goes both ways. very interesting travelling in the opposite direction. Incredibly steep either way

Two wheels out of four going around that corner too ... whoa!
Just because you're not dead doesn't necessarily mean you're living, either.
