Has any one tried mounting a SS or a Monster filter box when Mikuni carburettors are mounted on your PASO 750? Would there be a problem with space under the tank?

definetely not possible, there`s no space and the frame of the SS/Monster is much larger on the front.

If you check the position of Mikunis in a Paso, clearance to frame etc you can be sure that there is no other airbox that will fit and if indeed there would be one you could be sure it is too small and restrictive.

there is no "only" way. You can either modify the old one or build a new one. I`ve done both and the first is definetely the easier thing.
At the end it always depends on your personal skills or if you know someone who can help specially if you start to build something in glassfibre.

PS: I always wondered if it`s possible to build something like on the 748/916 using the tank itself as the upper part of the airbox. The question is though how to seal this "airbox", which filter(s) to use and how the inlets should be shaped...

I have done many times those glassfibre jobs, so its not anykind problem to me, so for me modifying original airbox seems to be best way to do it. It can be, that i buy nice Mikunis from my Ducati friend this winter and one day ill fit them to my 750 Paso, what have now 40mm Dellortos, but they are too "drunkey" to 750cc engine. Anyway they function better, than Weber.
I have also some free 750 Paso airbox, what can be base of that new airbox.
Thanks, Gerhard!
