Clutch funny?

Post by pasophist »

Not really funny.
I took apart my clutch.
Yada yada.
I put my clutch back together.
It seemed correct at the time.
Now I have five gears and they are all neutral!
I took off the cover and looked in, and it still seems like everything is in the correct order.
I guess, its not though-
Any ideas?

How does the leaver feel. Is it very soft or ??. It seems that it is activated all the time. I would try again and pull it apart and assemble it again. Check also that the slave piston works. But bee gentle with it, just press the piston slowly to check that it can move freely, and pull the clutch leaver, to check that it can move freely out, and again be careful that you don’t pull to much so the clutch slave piston comes out. On the other hand worst that will happened is that you need to bleed the system :,( .

Thank you nilaus- It worked.
I took it apart again, and reassembled (I think the same way) but this time it worked.
Tested okay.
Now working fine.
