What kinda of gas mileage do you get with your Paso?
I'm getting 31-32 mpg running 87-octane (USA regular fuel). The mods I have on the bike are dual Dellorto carb conversion with pod filters and Cobra F1 exhaust slipons with the stock 15/38 gearing. I'm hoping to tweak the carbs a little bit more to see if I can get better mileage. I was hoping for closer to 40 mpg.

Re: Gas Mileage?
With 15/37 sprocket set-up, pipes, FIM chip on my 907 I get 52MPG on the highway and 47MPG in mixed riding on 87 octane. If I flog it hard in the twisties it will drop to 42MPG. I have found the sprocket set-up really helps.
Re: Gas Mileage?
You guys running 87 octane, any timing changes required to do so? My bike runs so well that I hate to mess with it.

Re: Gas Mileage?
Nothing special done for my bike.....I'm not getting any pre-ignition spark knock, so I guess it is ok.mickster wrote:You guys running 87 octane, any timing changes required to do so? My bike runs so well that I hate to mess with it.

Re: Gas Mileage?
I have been running 87 since I purchased the 907 in 1993. 30K miles later and 15 years I have had no fueling issues or timing problems, knock etc...
Re: Gas Mileage?

Re: Gas Mileage?
45MPG regularly. You need to sort your carb jetting and if your just getting to ride her then maybe too much time hard on the throttle? :-)

Re: Gas Mileage?
Yeah, I think I definitely need some more carb tweaking......Of the three tanks of fuel I've run through the bike, One tank was leisurely commuting, one was fairly decent mountain twisty riding, and one was a combination of the two styles......each tank resulted in 31-32 mpg, so the way I ride it doesn't seem to make a difference in mileage.jcslocum wrote:You need to sort your carb jetting and if your just getting to ride her then maybe too much time hard on the throttle? :-)
