Mate, you have been quiet lately, what's happening with your 906, have you sold it or did you decide to part with the 907 instead?

Have you decided to keep both (that would make you a Paso collector).

Come on fill us in mate, the suspense is killing me

WELCOME BACK DUCK MATE!!!
We have certianly missed you on here over the last 2 years & it is great to see you back again, I was thinking you had gone to the big Paso dealer in the sky. Well I hope the new business is all set up & making you a small (or large) fortune & it is great to know you are back on a Paso, especially one that you know. I trust he looked after it for you & kept the Km low. Getting rid of both Paso's was certianly not a good idea. My Mrs has told me repeatedly that I am never allowed to have no bikes because she reckons if I have none I wont get another so I always keep at least one in the stable. Unfortunately since I sold my k100rs a few years back it has only been the Paso & she is currently off the road having a big 90000km overhaul. When that is done I reckon it will be a Jap 250 cafe racer project that the wife can learn to ride on when I have finished.
So what sort of business did you set up mate?
 :D  :D

DUCK01,

Guess that was the 907ie that got withdrawn from TradeMe yesterday. They notified all bidders that it had been withdrawn. The seller was in Palmerston North; that the one?

Fraser.

Hi Fraser, yip - thats the one. Nice to see karma go around in a positive way - I did all the 'right' things when I sold it to him, which has now been paid back from him to me........

Trust me - I paid a fair bit more than what the last bid was.......but thats ok - its going to a good home, again.......... :) :) :)

Red, hows it.......!! :) :) Yeah, gotta admit that selling them was'nt the brightest thing I've done, but ya get that sometimes............ :banghead: :banghead: Have certainly missed not having one, once they were gone.

Think its been looked after - its been in storage for the last 2 yrs, & has only done about 1600kms since I sold it. (Have'nt seen it yet - brought it sight unseen....... :phone: :phone: )

Business was started from scratch in 04 - specialise in providing corporate 4WD & ATV training courses - do corporate defensive driving courses as well, plus train a few truck & tractor operators. Have also provided a few courses as 'pre-deployment' - aimed at people heading into potential hostile situations overseas. Basically, show them a few 'tricks', & show what a 4WD vehicle can REALLY do, if/when your life depends on it......(trust me, I LOVE these courses....)

As well as having all the quals for doing the 'off-road' stuff I teach, I also spent another coupla bucket-loads of money, to become a on-road driving instructor. Which means that from 4 yrs ago, I'm a qualified RIDING instructor as well...............(mostly been only teaching trail-bike stuff though)

Re your comment on making money - my accountant tells me each year I'm not, but I absolutely love what I do for a job, with a real passion (bar all the paperwork........ :banghead: :banghead: ).

Given the state of Un Zed lately, have been tempted to cross the ditch your way, but will keep gritting my teeth till after we get a change of Government later this year, & evaluate things then....... ;) ;) (Plus, I'm 100% stubborn & don't want to quit what I've started, given some of the financial pain I've been through at times to get 'here' now......)

At least in Oz, I'm confident I WOULD make some money, & might even get to see some of it.......!!!!!!!!

Hey Duck, doing something that you love to do beats earning money every time. Sounds like it is a great business & if you want to bring it over to Bondi...umm...err...I mean Australia then there will be plenty of places to start it up over here, I think you will bump into a couple of other Kiwi's that have also ventured across the ditch mate.
It is guaranteed that you will make money doing that sort of thing here in OZ especially as you need to do a 3 day course to scratch your arse nowdays. We have compulsary rider training for all new bike riders, which is funny because they are still being taken out by car drivers that dont have a clue (sorry starting to rant now  ).
I just hope you making money is not like me, I don't so much make money as act as the middle man, as soon as I get it I just pass it on to someone else :,(
Let me know when you are comming & I will light the barbie mate

Carefull Bud, might take ya up on that barbie idea..........

Wahoo, got the bike yesterday - got it all legal today with rego, WOF etc........and now remember why I like the 907 better than the 906.........
Just makes me grin - absolutely love it............!!!

Re car drivers - some would be hard pushed to drive themselves outa a wet paper-bag.........
I'm not of the banana-bender tree-hugger hand-wringing brigade - I call 'a spade a spade' - quickest way to put better CAR drivers on our roads, would be to MAKE them do 2 yrs on a motorbike first. Yes, I know its not very 'PC', and yes, I accept the road-toll might 'spike' upwards for the first coupla years, but hey - at least then we would end up with drivers that KNOW what a hazard is / what it looks like, before it embeds itself in their bonnet...............!!!

Yeah, don't start me properly - some people are just toooooo stupid to drive anything with wheels, (other than a lawnmower or pram........)
