oil leaking

hello my Paso friends

yesterday I noticed some oil on the ground under the bike,
in the picture you can see place from where oil is dropping.

what can be wrong?

just guessing, could come from the front sprocket shaft or crankcase breather maybe. Clean those areas and after a short time you should see were the oil comes from.

A favorite leak place is at the rear of the motor where the neutral indicator switch is buried. Really hard to get to and the leaking oil spreads all over making identification difficult. Cheers,

thanks, I cleaned that area and will see where oil appear

btw, for last 3 day there is a problem when bike is working on low RPM.
the engine is choking and it sometimes turn off.
it happens when I stop the bike at crossroads.

is it problem with clutch? I rarely get the gear into "neutral" (I always
hold the clutch when I have to stop for a little while)

Wondering now, that in Poland there is ONLY SOME LAKES to get such foto! GONGRATULATIONS! Did You paint Your Paso with green colour before U drop bike to water, that all fishes didnt scared of it ?????

Clean that area well and look it closely after some times to see, what is just leaking point!

anyway, any reason that my Paso started choking for last 3 days?

How much oil? What colour? If it is jet black droplets then it is probably from a freshly oiled chain but if it is a light brown pool then it is from the engine. I get oil dropped from the left hand centre-stand boss but it is from the chain.

definetely not much oil, and it`s also dropping from left hand centre-stand, but I cannot say whats the original place for that oil, maybe it`s from the chain as you said...

truly say maybe I put too much oil? as I wrote in my previous topic, my oil window is milky and I cannot see the oil level, but recently I met with one Paso owner (luckily there is one more in my city ) - and we checked the level by putiing a metal stick into the oil container and it (aproximetely) showed that the level is definitely above the "max"...
(I`ve done apr. 600km so far, with 4,5l of oil)


guys, question about electric pump - I`ve got sth similar to knob marked with "1,2,3,4,5", what`s that?

Surely you have not had to replace 4.5 litres of oil in 600 km?


I can't help you with the fuel pump question - I've had no experience with them.

It may have a fuel pressure regulator installed. If you have the original Weber carb still installed this is a good idea. 3-PSI seems to be the best fuel pressure to use.

If it doesn't turn out to be the neutral switch, check the spark plug side of the verticle cylinder head. Just to the right of the plug cutout in the second fin is a small set screw which plugs a cross drilled hole - part of how an oil galley is machined into the head. Mine started leaking there and that oil also made it's way down to dripping from the stand or there about. If yours is leaking there, you should be able to seal it with some black silicone after a thorough cleaning. I was advised by my shop that this was preferable over trying to tighten or remove and reseal the screw, because they typically wont budge.
