differences between 1992 and 1993 907ie?

Post by Kurt »

Are there significant differences between the '92 and '93 907s? Are all the parts interchangeable?

Thanks for any wisdom on the matter,
- Kurt

Hi kurt,
'93 907 are left overs from '92.
the latest version of 907 has goldline front calipers and 320 mm rotors were the '91 has 300 mm rotors and black 32/32 calipers. These are the most significant differences between them. Also the saddle of '92 are different, but I'm not to sure about this.
I use 300 mm full floaters with 30/34 goldline calipers and Nissin master. This gives enough stopping power.
probably there are a few differences more but these are not so important.

Besides, the later 907 had the mufflers with an aluminium cover.
All the parts are interchangeable, except for the front fork which has the calipers fix points for 300 or 320 mm. rotors.
So, if you fit the '93 fork on a '92 bike and viceversa you'll have to change the rotors.
Besides, the '92 black calipers are different by the goldline and the master cylinder, too.
The goldline calipers need more power, so you can't fit the '92 master cylinder on a '93 bike.
Ciao
