Are there any after market sources for new OEM alternator without having to go to Duc dealer? Goes on 1992 907IE. New owner so don't know the good sources yet that specialize in our Paso's. Have checked ebay, no luck. Ducati dealer is saying like $800 for one. Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Need new alternator (rotor & stator)
I've heard good things about Electrex but I can also recommend these guys:
http://www.customrewind.com/
They are in Birmingham, AL (USA) and can rewind your existing stator. But they can't do anything for your rotor, probably. Turnaround time is usually about 2-3 weeks, quality is excellent, and they stand behind their product. I seem to remember that their prices were in the $125.00 range, but it's been a while since I needed to buy one. Best to call them and ask, they're not really email kind of people!
