Separation issue

Post by Tamburinifan »

Sorry, bike related... ;)

Want to overhaul my clutch master reservoir and found the idle lever attached to it.
How do I separate them?
No screws visible or are they hidden?

Found out myself  :

You loosen the reservoir, move the idle lever so it slips out of its seat
and then you`ll see the screws f the idle assy to be removed from clutch reservoir.

Well done Gert.

The trick is getting it all back in place again.

Good luck.

A bit tricky and not so few  :banghead: words.
(Also, reservoir had to be worked over abit to make the repair kit work.)

The idle lever cover loosens when positioned halfways over piston/
dust cover in reservoir.
And of course reassembles in very same position, dust cover/piston must be compressed a bit.
The wire mount hole towards el controls is the one to use, why there is another, who knows...
All easier if wire loosened at TB`s.
So now, .

Kit from Bevelheaven, look f Brake rel parts-Brembo, 25,50 US$.
Think Yoyodyne also has.

I only drink Danish green Carlsberg, not a big bottle of Kosken in a sauna
so I`m usually OK.

But more work would be done without the beer, that`s for sure...
