New guy with questions

Post by Texas Red 88 »

Just picked up a red 88 Paso 750, been in love with the bike since I first saw one iin '86. Funds were low so I rode away on the Cagiva Allazzura 650 instead. Fate has brought us together at last. Got a few questions.
She's pretty clean, got her from a NASA engineer who bought it new. All original, 13,286 miles. Minor wear on the usual stuff, triple, passenger grab bar, suprisingly few nicks in the bodywork. Got tires sourced already, as well as pads, filters, electrical. Where does one find belts? Are they a cross to a current incarnation? Also can anyone tell me what the fold out peg between the passenger peg and the pilots left peg is for? Best guess is to help get it on the center stand?

Fold out is for raising the bike on the center stand. California cycle works has belts as well as your local dealer. Best of luck and welcome

be sure to get belts with square teeth. Newer Ducs use round teeth belts but their belt pulleys are different. Have fun with your bike.

Excellent buy and welcome to the BEST group you will ever find for your new Moto!

From your picture, I can see that it's not stock and has some nice upgrades. Corbin Seat, euro tail light, aftermarket exhaust. Does it have the weber carb mounted or 2 separate dellorto carbs?
