Need good photos of carb linkage!

Post by jklnhyde »

Since I cannot locate a used carb linkage for my Weber, I'm forced to fabricate one if I want to ride my Paso. I need some good close up pics of the linkage extending from the carburator to the throttle cable end. All I have is the cable--and nothing else!
I see the 'ball' connector at the carburetor bellcrank, but there is no 'connection' between the carb and the cable.
HELP!!

Nice link, but it doesn't solve my problem; I still don't know what is missing. If you have what I need let me know a price...

2mm material thickness, edges rolled for better stability.

@jayh
what is that thing infront of your carb, a fuel pressure regulator ?

Excellent shots, fellas'! I see that the adjustable rod, spring and black rubber thing are all that I'm missing. If anyone's got them lying around, I will gladly pay...

so you`re just missing the accelerator cable ? That`s all one piece. (I think)
I thought you`re missing the bracket that holds it.

ell, if you look at the last photo posted by paso750, you will see everything I am missing. My throttle cable is attached to the throttle tube/housing and it moves, but the carb end of the cable just has a metal 'knob', like most throttle cables.

Does the original cable bring the spring, plastic thing and adjusting rod all attached to it?!
I don't think so, but I might be wrong; I think the assembly in the photo that I'm missing is separate from the cable...

Thats right Paso750 its the holley 12-804 fuel reg mounted upside down, fits in there
just nicely with easy access to mounting screws and a hex key can easily be used from between forks to adjust

Looks like a ball-and-socket design. If you are missing the ball section on your carb, you may be able to substitute a shouldered bolt in it's place. You might need to use a bolt with a bushing to get the correct diameter (and a couple of washers, but I'm sure you can get it to work.

Okay, here's the deal: the ONLY thing I am missing from my Paso's throttle cable linkage are the parts in the last photograph provided in the post by paso750. It's the ball socket-threaded rod-coil spring-plastic spacer looking thing. Nothing else. ;)

If this assembly is part of the throttle cable assembly, then, yes, I do need a new throttle cable assembly.
I hope I didn't confuse anyone...
