16" tires

Post by egagnon3 »

I just got new tires fitted on my 750 Paso, and I tell you what a difference. I installed the Metzler tires recommended on the german Ducati pdf, found on this site. The rear tire was really close to the swing arm, and the license plate so I relocated the plate. The mechanic recommended adding a link to the chain to get an extra bit of length to the adjustment. The rear tire now has about 3/8 of an inch of clearance to the swingarm. The front is about 1/4 of an inch of clearance to fender. The bike sits abit higher so I'm thinking of extending the kickstand abit, but man does it handle better than the 7 year old Michelins. So far no complaints, I'll keep you posted.

Also, I have a friend who also owns a paso, but he needs a front rim, his is bent, does anyone have a spare front in good shape?

I have a spare and I'm only two hours from Atlanta....assuming he is in your area. To save on freight, I may meet him part way between here and there if I have available time.

How much for the spare wheel? I sure we could drive up if needed.

egagnon3 --> I just picked up a 1988 Paso 750. I have done quite a bit of research concerning tires and came across Ducati Germany's recommendations. I'm glad to hear you have had success installing the recommended tires. Did you have to do any modifications? What tires did you use?
