Lean??
My Paso is popping away in the run off i am trying to figure out why.. I adjusted my belts and my valves should be fine for a couple hundred miles. What is causing this? Is this normal for ducs or is there something else going on that i am not aware of. By the way the bikes power is pretty impressive so

Re: Lean??
I forgot to say that i have a K&n high performance filter on the bike could this be giving me trouble?? I ask these questions cause i really do not know why the bike is popping away like that. Thanks Vince

Re: Lean??
Vince,
Need a few more details on your setup. Some popping out the exhaust depending on the extent could be normal depending on your setup, popping out the intake is most likely a cam timing issue or carb balance or any of many others possibilities,wires,plugs,coils................

Re: Lean??
Hi,
It's out of the exhausts and it is mainly on the over-run (when I close the throttle after high revs and decelerate)
Thanks, Vince

Some folks would call that a feature
Fairly typical closed throttle behavior with the weber. Getting your jetting spot on helps but if you are not getting any surging
to accompany the popping I'd learn to love the "music" JM2C

Re: Lean??
Have you got standard exhaust pipes? Mine wouldn't backfire with standard silencers but with a Conti 2-into-1, competition air filter and adjusted carburation it regularly backfires on the over run, not just pops mind you but almighty bangs. Can even backfire on tick over, almost a crowd puller.
