Darmah in da House

Post by Jaffa »

Howdy Gentlemen (and Ladies if any present),

My fiance went off for 10 days R & R to Fiji the other week and when she returned, low and behold and new bike in the family.

Yes, I scored big time here. a 1978 Darmah with just 17k on the clock. She has been hiding under a tarpolin in a carport for the last 15 years so is in pretty bad shape cosmetically. Not sure of the internals just yet but she is off to a renown Ducati specialist in Sydney for a good checkover before making her way here to Canberra.

Nothing is missing but she now has plenty of rust that needs to be treated, all chrome pieces are pitted and need a good cleanup before rechroming. Polished parts are corroded etc etc. Needs lots of TLC and elbow grease.

I will post some photos as soon as I get to meet her in person.

All is good in the world of Ducati.

:smoke: :smoke:

Living room is for pussies?

Ok...listen to this:

I completely disassambled my 907 in the living room, including the storage of the parts all over the TV, sofa, and so on.

The 900SS bevel standing next to it, watching. One day i said "it is getting a little bit cramped in here... maybe i have to park the bevel in the garage for some days"

My girlfriend forbid it. She said, the nice bike has to stay in the house.

/edit:
Nice bike though :-)
