Givi top box rack

Post by Fast Eddie »

Does anyone make a rack for 907 that will hold a Givi top box?

They sure do..... me. My top box is a Bailey , pretty much the same thing , and Yep nnnnnnorman , it does look stupid but shit its handy :) .Made from 1/2" ( ID ) steel tubing and 20 x3 mm flat strap
Image
The lower legs bolt on under the passenger footpeg brackets and the top mount clamps to the grab rail. The plastic base screws to the flat bit at the back ( the top loop comes off when Im using the top box and goes on for a pack or bag when Im 2 up ) and the top box clips to the base . How many do you want? :)

imagine it g, on the bike!
it might be handy hamish, probably for carrying stuff.
good luck to you mate. it makes me think of some of the unusual loads i have carried on various bikes over the years. i once got arrested for aiding and abbetting a dangerous load on a motorcycle...... i was that load! sitting backwards on the pillion of my friends bike. no top boxes though to date. 8) :)

I have to agree that a top box on the Paso is like putting a 300 pound woman in a g-string. It was just a thought while I was drunk.

Part of it is, I scrounged it out of the dumpster at a bike shop. I didnt know they did one for the paso / 907 . I have one for a 92-97 900SS if anyone wants it ( a ventura one .... not home made :) )

When Dianne and 1st got together ( she was engaged to my boss ..... nother story ) we moved 55 k's out into the country ( sorta had to ) and the only transport we had was a VFR700 ( real good bike ) and we regularly went 2 up with a weeks groceries in bags ,pack and pockets and a swap-a-crate ( 1 dozen 750ml bottles in a wooden crate ) on the tank.....only lost it once too  .....

Well- I´m also not a fried to top cases  , but I love my alu cases!
As soon as I find a cheap (below 150 €) Hepco&becker carrier I will mount my bloody, sahara proofen, battered alu cases on the 907.
This will give it a smooth, anachronism look....
