New here
I'd just like to introduce myself to the forum as a new member. I have recently, 2 weeks ago, bought a 907ie to accompany my '03 ST4s ABS that I've had since 2005. The 907 was registered in the UK in March 1994 and is one of the last, with Goldline brakes. It's red and is completely standard and original. I've been into Ducatis since the early seventies and have plenty experience with bevel twins and singles and belt twins, 2V and 4V. Electrics are my speciality but I'm equally at home with any mechanicing. I'm looking forward to getting out on the 907 in the coming year when the weather improves.

Re: New here
Wow. Another nice bike.
An me? I am spending loads of time & money, trying to bring mine into an equal condition.
As you are an electrics specialist, can you tell me where to get the dash-connectors from?
Cheers,
Johannes

Re: New here
higgy, Johannes, some others and I are looking for new ones to build a new wiring harness. The plastic connectors can be resued that`s not the problem but the crimped contacts need to be replaced. Finding those is not so easy.

That`s a late one, but not one of the last. Mine is 2285, when i have it in mind correctly... How many were built? 2303?Derek wrote:Frame number is ZDM906P12*001958. Not the last but within the last 80 or so.
@ Higgy: Is it possible to get them here, mabe with as long as possible cables left on the connectors?
@ G: Yeah, that would be the preferred way...

Re: New here
Most are similar to Delphi terminals,I have been trying to figure out exactly who was sourced for the original terminals but yes G you are correct in that they seem to be hard to find and the crimpers needed are also not cheap. Crimpers are from time to time found on ebay for much less than new.
New crimpers are typically in the 100 to 300usd range, ebay 25 to 35.
Delphi does have a catalog you can download and I am in the middle of going thru it now,400+ pages so it will take a while.
Both of you being in Europe might be able to find out who Fiat uses to source their terminals,
Fiat is just now coming back to the US so info is sketchy at best.
I did find a suitable connector and terminals for the regulator from Electrosport The kit was 6 bucks and came with the connector and terminals, nice plated terminals and the connector includes a locking tab

BTW the terminals for the dash are side plane type, double side plane I think
One possibility is an AF Female Terminal UNsealed #12131448 from Delphi

Hi Derek, nice looking 907!
The standard pipes do look good!
How many km`s?
Is that a battery breather hose attached to the swing arm?
I eneded up buying a deka sealed battery to get rid of any battery acid problems.
