airbox - throttle body rubber boot...

Post by samandkimberly »

..anybody have an extra laying around? One of mine is missing a big chunk out of it and Ducati wants 80 bucks for one and will probably tell me it's not available when I go ahead and order it.

The one between the air box and the throttle - the horizontal one, though I'm pretty sure the horizontal and vertical one are the same.

I was just pulling the airbox off for fun and I noticed it was missing a chunk. :-)

Yeah, the one with the rats nest of EFI stuff. You know, though, in spite of what a mess it looks like there, it's amazingly easy to get in/out. Ducati did a good job with the connectors in this one rare case. :-)

Thanks. I'm trying to repair the old one now - with Shoo Goo - and it looks like it might work. I fgure if the stuff can keep a sneaker sole together for a year (which it can, I've tested repeatedly) then it might survive on the bike. Plus, the break is in a non critical spot.
