I'm betting it widens out significantly once it's on a rim...

Just checked mine - actually they're not skinnier, they just look like it because they slope off a lot more than the M59,
which is quite flat.

Profile looks to be an improvement.
Anyone actually ride on this tire yet? Nice photos and all, but the all that matters is the ride.

Cheers,

Dear Paso-Friends,

first we would like to introduce ourselves: We are the official importeur of GoldenTyre for Germany and Austria.

We are happy to answer every question concerning the tyres.

The reason for this post is the recent discussion within this post concerning the tyres and the manufacturer.

[*]Yes, there was a mistake when the catalogue was designed, stupid to classify the tyres within the scooter section.
[*]Yes, GoldenTyre is a tyre designer starting its portfolio with motocross and enduro.
[*] Since 3 years GoldenTyre supplies the Supermoto FIM World Championship with a special, just for them designed GoldenTyre supermoto tyre.
[*] Now GoldenTyre is also providing a road legal supermoto tyre.

But now back to the topic.

Right now we are asking the first customers concerning their experiences when using the tyre, the first we got from Italy, and we are happy to post more (if we get them, also the negative ones):

hello, the impression is very good compared to the old Michelin. The bike has improved a lot in handling, precision trajectory and has a good stability at high speed. The tires have done 800km. and show a limited wear. Me personally, I did several paths and the bike is responsive to pleasant feelings that make driving and traveling in high speed highway safety, so I went through the 220km / h with the bike glued to the ground . In turn, they made the bike more neutral and the grip is great, I just noticed that, braking hard with the bike very steep, the front end transmits the vibrations may be due to the tessellation. However, a judgment more than good, considering that the bike has no behavioral defects, such as: understeer, precision, directional inertia, weight, tire sizes that adversely affect driving. Feeling perfectly. These are my impressions, thanks again to the golden tire that did this miracle and I was very pleased to request your opinion.
Many greetings and pls. feel free to contact us concerning technical issues.

Anyone in New Zealand looking for some 16" Golden Tyres? I have just been speaking with the distributer here and he is trying to gauge demand. Hopefully I can at least encourage him to get a set for me in the next container. I would love to ride my Paso on non square, non scavenged, NEW tyres.
