Dear all 907 lovers,
Finally I found a nice 907 and an owner that wants to part from it. It is a wonderful red model 1992 with nearly 30.000 km on the tacho, registered in 1992 in the Netherlands. Owner drove to little to keep it, lucky me!
As I have been around this forum as a reader, I now can inform you that I have upgraded myself to owner as per Saturday April 20th it will be in my garage next to the 1997 900 Supersport Carenata type Imola. (Dealer upgrade for the last carb version)
Now the tricky parts for you all, and you may laugh. . .
- Yes, there is NO tools included, all are missing. Somebody that has a spare set is welcome
- there is NO owners manual.
The first owner promised this to the second owner to deliver 3 years ago, however still refuses to go search it in is 200+ cardbord boxes from his last moving and is not willing to do so. As a punishment, he did not bought the bike back and is condemned to continue driving his Triumph.
As the owner manual is important with safety instructions, this is my first priority. I did saw the PDF download in 5 languages (good job) however I assume there is an all Dutch manual made as well. Any idea's to help me with this? Any Dutch 907 owners that might have a spare manual available?
And of course I love to show the new purchase, here are some pics fou you all to enjoy. . . .
And the good news is: the clock is running!

Re: Finaly bought a Ducati 907ie
nice find.
There was a 851 toolkit on ebay some days ago but it was sold. It wouldn`t have been totally the same but very close.
Regarding the manual I`ve never seen a dutch version.

Silencers are make Bos. Dutch manufacturer. Round alu housing and sounds nice, not too loud however impressive for bystanders. :-)
This is their website: http://bos-exhausts.de/index.php?id=22&L=0 There are some Ducati parts however no Paso or 907 is mentioned here, only SuperSport and newer.
The clutch does not rattle like my SuperSport as it is all enclosed. Perhaps put some rings between the cover and engine part to make a small gap and increase the noice and loose the dust while driving. Clutchcover is painted red as the bike. What was the original colour? A gold colour is in my memory like the valverocker covers.

Hi Olaf,
you're lucky to find a 907 in that condition.
the Bos silencers are OK. nice sound without bothering bystanders
I'm also in the eastern part of Holland near the city of Deventer.
as the toolset is crap I wouldn't worry about it.
Dutch manual? forget it. English and German will do.
the clutch cover is supposed to be black as the rest of the engine
I do have a owners manual and an enlarged electric scheme.
if you are in need of some parts, Ducaparts in Twello has a lot of Paso parts.
look for the state of the parts as not all is in pristine condition.
if you want more info, PM me

Hi Ducolaf and Welcome
If you need any help with anything Paso you'll find it here . . . even a toolkit, but they are crap, and - if you can find one - very expensive.

Re: Finaly bought a Ducati 907ie
Well, as mentioned by the owner, the clutch was some rusty and picked up hard in first gear, specially from a full stop.
As I thought the problem was caused by corrosion on the plates, I thought it would wear of while driving. Instead it got worse and worse to a situation where I avoided a full stop at all cost.
Now after some puzzling and discussions with my mechanic, the problem was solved. A set of clutch plates for a wet clutch were mounted in a dry clutch as on the 907. Replacing the clutch plates solved the problem nicely, being in full convenience while riding the bike. Found some nice not yo much used 900 SuperSport plates.
In the mean time included a K&N filter as the right hand side body panels were removed during the trial and error method.
Also purchased a used Hepco & Becker luggage rack for the Ducati ST2, to see if we can make it fit the 907 with some welding and bending. Got to love Ebay for these things but try not to get hooked too much.
So far the update, all a nice summer holidays, roads are nice empty for riding your bike!
