Re: Sat Nav
if you have a magnetic map holder or a tankbag with a clear top you can put it in there but I guess that`s not the asnwer you wanted

Re: Sat Nav
I use one of these...well similar at least with my Garmin car sat nav also works well with a Samsung S3 enclosed you will need the other parts listed lower down to fit or you can get them with a handle bar mount.
Mine is a bit of "Heath Robinson" affair copied from this.

My bike is in bits at the mo' but will try and rig it up and take a photo if I get time....there is room under the nacelle screen to fit a unit.

Re: Sat Nav
Thanks for the replies. Yes I was looking for something more secure than the magnetic fixing.
As regards the handlebar mount is there enough room on the Paso bars as the fluid reservoirs seem to get in the way ?

Re: Sat Nav
If you mean am I sure that the fluid reservoirs will get in the way of a handlebar mount - no I am not. I was suggesting that it looks very tight, unless someone knows better.

Re: Sat Nav
Sorry I didn't mean mount them on the bars as this is not feasible unless you are very clever with some tinware to loop a bracket under the brake/clutch and switch gear and then use the mounting bracket to fix it onto the bike.
You can though use this if you fabricate a small bar and tie wrap it onto and over the rubber mount between the screen and above the top tree.

Re: Sat Nav
Sorry about the confusion as I was responding to nnnnnnorman's comment. Having looked at the original link you sent it looks like the best way is to remove the rubber plug in the centre of the fork stem and mount one of the ram balls into that, which I think is what you were suggesting. I hadnt realised that the rubber plug in the centre of the top yoke came off. This looks to be an ideal position for the sat nav as well. Thanks.englishstiv wrote:Sorry I didn't mean mount them on the bars as this is not feasible unless you are very clever with some tinware to loop a bracket under the brake/clutch and switch gear and then use the mounting bracket to fix it onto the bike.

Re: Sat Nav
Hi all, fitted the Garmin Zumo 350 LM to my 907 i.e. this year.
I replaced one of the bolds holding the handle bar and front brake fluid reservoir to the top plate of the front fork by a RAM-mount bolt. On this I use the longer RAM connection device (10 cm) so I can move the Zumo to a position behind the screen and not block the instruments in the cockpit. As the steering turns the Zumo turns too, make sure it does not run into the front fairing.
Fit it close to your right hand for simple operation during driving (not preferred)
Works great for me, easy access, easy to install / remove and minimum modification. The black RAM-mout is hard to see with the black metal handlebars. Nice Allenbolt for replacement, labeled the original bolt and stored it away. Cost were low as well. Check out this site for an indication on product and price

Need more detailed close up? Please let me know and I will post some pics.
In this pic you just can see the side of the Zumo during a tank stop against the blue colomn.
