Re: new Paso owner
Welcome to the forum birdduck, I have an 88 750 Paso (light blue) and she has been pretty consistent with the Champions. Like you I was a bit skeptical as being a kid who grew up around performance bikes in the US, Champions werent ever the choice of my tuners, but as the 750 had them on it to start, I stuck with it and havent had any problems. I'm out in KS now where it is a little more dry but still running like a top.

Re: new Paso owner

Do you have a manual? Keep the chain adjusted slightly on the loose side for best gear changes and smoothest running.
Re: new Paso owner
No manual, but I have found everything I have needed for info online.. what is considered loose?

Re: new Paso owner

The owners manual says the chain should be adjusted to 15-20mm play with the rear suspension compressed halfway. So 20mm would be loose.
It's easy to compress the rear suspension with the bike on the centre stand and a few turns of rope over the saddle, with some padding to protect the saddle and plastic, and under the top of the the rear wheel.

Re: new Paso owner
I too have switched to the Champion plugs. I tried a range of plugs, and my 1990 Sport ran best on them. I too was surprised, as I had a generally low opinion of them, but then again, every company makes a budget product that gives them a bad rap I guess. Best part is that they are only a few dollars at my local auto parts store. Cheap and good, no reason not to change them every spring.
Cheers, Phil

Can one of you guys post a pic of the shinko tire mounted on the bike? Or other options mounted?
