750 Paso in the Barber Museum

Post by jcslocum »

I can't recall if this has been posted before.

I was at the Vintage races & Ducstock this past weekend. I spent some time in the Barber Museum and was pleased to see the 750 Paso as one of the bikes on display.

A small album of some of the bikes and cars on display.

Nice set of photos. Thanks for sharing. Someday I will get to Barber. Its a long ride across a lot of flat land to get there from the Left Coast.

Is the last picture in your album a Ducati 500? Looks like a Ducati single hub, but two exhaust pipes.

Cheers,

Yes, it's a 500 GTV that was beautiful. I added 4 more pics to the gallery if you want to go back and see them. I have a 350GTV and a 500 Desmo Sport. The parallel (paralyzed to many) are much unappreciated but are good looking machines.

To be honest, we trailed down 5 bikes total. But next time I would fly. There is so much going on and to see that a Bike isn't needed to enjoy the fun. I did have my Indy in the bike show and if I want to display any of my other bikes then I would trail down again. 1100 miles for me from NY to Alabummer. 15 solid hours of driving.

Many more pics here:

For those who missed last week's Barber Vintage Event and DucStock, there are links to an article and to some photo albums that were posted on other lists:

You'll need to budget an hour or three to work your way through these - there are hundreds and hundreds of photos.

I reopen this old thread just to post some more pictures of the beautiful barber museum.
first one being of course the Paso 750 followed by ducatis and others
The museum is absolutely worth a visit if you can at Birmingham, Alabama not far from Atlanta.

Sylvester Stallone has a 750 Paso don't you know.
P.S. The Honda NR750 Road was not an oval piston engine but Ellipsoidal, it was only the racing NR that had an oval bore.

That's how Honda called it: NR750 Oval Piston
Image
but it doesn't matter, i guess that nr750 ellipsoidal piston was not a commercially suitable name! :-)
this is the Stallone beautiful Black Paso:
