I've just bought a 906 Paso which came in from Canada. It's had some engine work done, and I don't recognise the format of the engine number which looks like it may have been added by a workshop. Is this a standard engine number?
The engine number is JB4L000xxx where xxx are numbers.
Cheers

Re: Is this a regular engine number?
Hi Ian , far as I know the engine and frame number should start with ZDM. There is a very recent post here somewhere explaining how the VIN's ( vehicle identification number )work. ..... and now I cant find it
Z= Italy
D= Ducati
M=motorcycle
