Swing Arm for 1992 907ie

Post by Whiff Ducbreath »

Hello Group I had a low level disaster on my 1992 907ie. One of the rear sproket mounting bolts came loose and gave quite a trek to my swing arm on the left side destroying the axel adjuster, I bought one on FleaBay but although it looked good in pictures, in person it's too chewed up to use. Does anyone in the group know anyone parting out a 907ie, or is there another model Ducati rear swing arm which is similar?

Any help appreciated

That's the best one I have seen on EBay. I bought one but it's chewed up in the rear. I got a response from Duc-only.nl. I'll see what he has. Someone said the sproket bolts can saw the swing arm in half. I see what he means. I'm investing in some loctite after this. Thanks for the help

I found a Very Nice used swing arm from Rudy at Duc-Only in the Netherlands. All the ones I have seen on EBay are damaged in the back. I guess a good piece of Paso advice would be to check your sprocket bolts regularly, use Loctite and/or safety wire, check Axel bolts often and chain tension. Many of the swing arms I have looked at have chain scars. Owning a Paso is a learning experience. If you are as big a Klutz as I am, the Tuition is High. But I Love my Duc. I am a confirmed Paso-adictacus.

Thank all for comments and advice

also always check that the conical spacer between the swingarm and sprocket carrier is installed correctly with its wider side outwards! You need to check this everytime someone removes and installs the rear wheel.

I have a good spare one if you still need one.
Yes, watch those sprocket bolts.

I found a nice swing arm from a Chap in Belgium. Before I bought the nice one, I bought a slightly bunged up one, but bought the nicer one because I am too lazy to fix the bunged one. If anyone wants a only slightly bunged up swingarm in the back on the sprocket side I would part with it for a nominal fee. Pics upon request.
