Cush drive/carrier removal

Post by ducatipete »

While searching for threads about chain lengths, found references to loose sprocket bolts...I have replaced all 5 bolts with shouldered 12.9 ones, but didn't change the lock nuts. Bike is still being worked on.... How do I remove the cush drive carrier? manual just shows an expanded view of the wheel...

also ordered some nord self locking washers...

the carrier is just stuck in place. When the wheel is removed just pull on the sprocket and the whole thing will come off the rim.

Just as Paso750 says above, cush drive came out nice and easy, plan to replace sprocket lock nuts with aircraft spec stainless ones.....despite these minor set backs I am really enjoying working on my Duc with this forums help and looking forward to getting back on the road for the summer.... :D
