oh lordy me... that's almost what they cost new in the 1980's. To be fair it's clean and tidy so they must be hoping that someone sees it and fall in love rather than someone that is looking for one...

Yeah , seems to be hanging it all on the "limited" thing , probly doesn't realise that a lot of dukes ,inc Paso's had low production numbers for different colours and markets . I think that my Paso has only a few hundred brothers for its year , colour scheme and country supplied to. I hope no one buys it till he gets realistic about value :)

Though it would be nice if once we all bought Paso's they became a sought after forgotten era classic and worth $50k.

Wow ... were they really $15k new? Assuming that's NZD, that's still $10k USD by today's values, anyway. And for late 80's, that seems like a lot!
Just because you're not dead doesn't necessarily mean you're living, either.

I've always been one of those obnoxious opposite types (lots of brains/no money). That alone explains why I own/ride a Paso750. I wouldn't sell my moto for anything less than 15 large. :-) Red is the fastest color. :-)

In Australia the importer was selling the 750 for more than AU$15K new... it was serious exotica, only a HD (from the same sole "independent" importer) or a bimota was more. I ended up buying my first bike from the same guys - a Honda CD250U because i used to go around and stare are the Paso so much. For a long time motor vehicles were double the price in this end of the world compared to the USA.

The CBR1000 was noticeably cheaper..

I guess being white makes them 3 times the price.

There was a white one for sale in Australia a few months ago $10,500. I guess because Ducati only made 60 or 70 of them makes them a bit more rare but not $10k rare. I'm selling my 87 red one for $5,000 if anyone is interested.

well, since alot of people judge value based on asking prices they see instead of selling prices it might help the rest of us increase value if a bunch of folks keep trying to sell at ridiculous prices.

I think there is every chance that early 'carb machines will climb in value the same as the car market has gone. The modern stuff has any amount of electronic trickery and it is only going to get worse.
