Clutch Noise

Post by stubbie »

Haven't ridden my Paso for a while. Just pulled the clutch in and I get this loud screetching noise. Would this be rust on the plates or something else? To clean is it just removing the top cover and cleaning the plates? I looked in the Faq and saw some directions on how. Cheers.

More than likely the release bearing ( part of the clutch slave piston ) Check the FAQ,s as there is a good mod to improve the stock piston assy

Thanks. I'm selling this bike so I have taken it apart and cleaned it. Gave it a little WD40 and it seems to have stopped.

So you are passing the problem on to the next owner.

I've spent plenty fixing mechanical issues on this bike and because I'm too honest for my own good I tell people when there are problems to be sorted. And price accordingly.

That's exactly what I was thinking. At least if the seller is informed he knows what has to be done.
