Re: Ducati 907ie Rectifier
Not all Shindengen regulators are MOSFET. Ducati have used Shindengen regulators since at least the early 2000s and they weren't MOSFET then. I haven't checked the make of the regulator on the Scrambler but it's not a MOSFET either. My 2010 MTS1200 had a Shindengen FH012AA MOSFET as do the Diavel and Panigale bikes. They may well be using the later FH020AA on newer bikes. My Supersport 939 has a Shindengen MOSFET regulator but I haven't looked to see what model it is.
The Electrex RR53 replacement regulator now uses MOSFET technology.
http://www.electrexworld.co.uk/cgi-bin/ ... ml#SID=439
They seem to be offering the same regulator for single and 3-phase bikes.
Before buying a replacement regulator make sure to do the stator checks first to be sure it is OK.

I'm still wondering about how anything in this topic explains the blowing fuel pump relay fuse...

Yes, Derek, they (Electrex) also started to make MOSFET regulators and here is link to choose right model:Derek wrote:Not all Shindengen regulators are MOSFET. One note: Those times, when i bought few of them (RR51) they were put to little different cases, not to samekind, as in they foto of RR51.
Another note: Pitty, that they have dropped out that charge warning light in RR52 and RR53 modells, as RR51 have it still (for 907IE and 906). I check just, that my ST2 and ST4S DONT have anymore charge warning lights at all

That generator/stator check have to be done if problems in charge system!paso750 wrote:Before buying a replacement regulator make sure to do the stator checks first to be sure it is OK.

907 have high pressure fuel pump, what take plenty of current (Amps when running) and if ANY of 907 fuel system filters, lines, etc have shit inside, then fuel pump start to take too much current and fuse blows.

Higgy, there is NO "ONE fuel filter in 907", as there are 3 of them, ....if thinking EXACTLY, 4 (!!!!)
Higgy: I taught, that You know all about 907IE fuel system..... Tell to us WHERE ALL THEY ARE ... Then i answer, are Your taught "right", or wrong........ hahahahahaha....
Ps. i dont want any "war" between us, but let us all know, from where You find fuel filters in 907....HONESTLY now, HIGGY: .... i am waiting.... Higgy: "wake up", :-)))

As far as I know there is a fuel strainer at the pump inlet to keep the big bits out and an inline filter on the pump outlet for the fine stuff. Some injection systems have tiny filters at the inlet to each injector but as far as I'm aware Ducatis with Marelli injection don't have these.

Re: Ducati 907ie Rectifier
Just to get back on track guys I will indeed get a new fuel filter however as I mentioned before with the other rectifier fitted the engine runs very happily with the fuel filter but I am still getting no charge at the battery.
I am now getting a Shindengen regulator with an updated fitting kit and a external LED voltage monitor attached and I am also going to get an upgraded Electrosport Stator and rewire the bike with all new connectors.
Hopefully then I can get this thing on the road for some decent long distance riding this year, The respray will have to wait till another year.
Appreciate all your comments now put your toys back in your prams and play nicely

Re: Ducati 907ie Rectifier
You are RIGHT Derek where thay all are. Marelli injectors have them ALSO in each injector inlets. That company where i have maintained my (ab. 10-12 injectors) told to me that that there ARE very small filters and need SPECIAL TOOL to take them out and clean and put back. Cant do that in home without such tool.Derek wrote:Four filters? An acquaintance with a Suzuki 1200 Bandit was having problems at higher speeds. The bike behaved like it wasn't getting enough fuel. He had had it to Suzuki dealer and a major service was done yet it still ran poorly. After a lot of internet searching he eventually found out about the filters in the injectors. He got them cleaned and the bike ran perfectly again. The dealer didn't even know about them.
Which makes me think. I've been working with injected Ducatis for about 20 years now and I've never seen any mention of these filters. They aren't mentioned in any service manual that I've ever seen - 907, 851,916, 996, 999, ST2/3/4, MTS1000, MTS1200, MS4, MS4R(S), 1098 etc. As far as Ducati are concerned the injectors are not a serviceable item and I suspect that very few technicians even know of the presence of the filters.

Re: Ducati 907ie Rectifier
The IW724 injectors of the ST3/4/748/916 etc have the filter as a ring on the outside as can be seen on the picture below.
The IW031 of the 907IE (which is also used on the Lambo Diablo and others) has it inside.
Some shops sell revision kits with filters and o-rings or just the filters. I.e. https://mrinjectoruk.co.uk/Fuel-injecto ... 26298.aspx
No idea if these would fit the 907IE injectors. One would have to ask.
I don't know anything about this, these are just some Google results
