As it turns out this cap off the old chrome mesh filter fitted perfectly so pretty happy with that , got the brake discs , the back is spot on but not refit yet as waiting on new bolts , front are about 3 mm thicker ally rotors than old so I have got to either see if I can counter sink bolts on rev counter side or shave down the rev counter spindle, so jury out on that till I see Justin and see if he can mill the rotors enough , the discs were designed for some Honda but all measurements same except for aforementioned, I hope we can mill countersink as the review I saw from a guy who races a fair amount gave the thumbs up

I've started putting the intestines back the the beast starting at the ignition setup , I've got the rear wheel and chain sorted, f all work so slowing up the progress again but wiring can go in and carbs out to rebuild ( mikunis), front wheel should be back together soon , fork oil good and sorted ( I think) , definitely getting a little forward momentum

Big job replacing the harness after so long , memory fades and strip photos , wire colours and some new connections etc look alien but I'm starting to remember and win I think , cash flow slowing me up as usual but I know I'm no orphan there

Dummy run on the instrument panel at this stage , really struggling to find a new warning lights graphics as mine was shot , surprised at lack of spares considering so many years/ models shared from ducati

The harness is progressing well all good ther but after repaintingthe needle and bezel I crackedthe glass while trying to recrimp the Speedo bezel , I've bought a good dash with anice warning light graphics panel, I think I need to get new glass and bezels and find someone to professionally crimp both instruments

I need to finish the dash to button up the front of the harness, on another note do I need to replace the engine breather setup or can I just convert to a short tube and a small filter as I've seen on some pics of similar bikes?

Imho the best solution would be to keep the original oil catch tank and install a small filter to its exit. At least so oil blown out of the engine can run back. Only a tube and filter on the breather will work as well but sometimes the filter saturates with oil and it can run down the tube. In worst case it'll get on the rear tire.
