speed Ducati 907 iE

Post by dfarias »

Dear Ducati group,
Some one know why my bike can not run more than 80 mph?
I tested this in all speed, apparently don´t have any problem.
Any idea?

thank you so much.
David.

Hi higgy, thank you for your answer,
I touched this speed in gear 6th,is the only information, turn on ok, the engine no fail, I mean it no make explosions, and work well in all gear (1st, 2nd, 3th, etc).
The problem this is a feedback system and I don´t know in wich part begin to check.

Hi Tamburinifan, thank you for your answer.
The timing belt, belt tensioner, air filter, fuel filter, fuel pipe are new.
I use it 1 day a week, only for test.

What happends when you reach 80?
Does it stutter, cut out or what?
And what RPM do you see at 80?

What are your sprocket sizes? Is the one in the back really large?

Or so small so that it won't pull the high gearing?

Not sure what you mean, please explain feedback system

Do you have a non stock ECU ? Installed an O2 system ?

If you have the stock ECU it may just need some tweaking and you can find everything you need here in the documents section or just ask many herre can help you besides me you made need to set up the TPS and do a sync of the throttle bodies or you could have a sensor issue

What about the exhaust, is it original? An open exhaust w/o rejetting or remapping can cause the engine to run lean. It'll noticably reduce top speed.

???? And the answers are? All questions above from posters are relevant, we can`t help without answers.

And explain what you mean by "feedback system", fuel return or what? You think you suffer from fuel starvation?
